As of 1 p.m. Thursday, Adams Field in Little Rock Arkansas had measured 10.72 inches of rain in July, making it the wettest on record in Little Rock. The previous record was July 1891, with 9.23 inches of rain.

Please send some north!! As of April 1st we are 6" short of normal rain fall. The crops are holding out so far but we need rain. The lawns are dried up and I have been watering my young trees and vines.

Cool and dry is the forecast.

Waldo, I set up a weather station during the week of July 5 and have recorded over 11 inches so far. I'm sure last night's deluge overloaded the rain guage as it recorded only 3" and my house almost flooded. I estimate we got 6" or more. The greater Memphis area had 4 tornados touch down, fortunately with no serious injury. One of SWMBO's friends lost her roof, though.

And send some to Tampa, or more specifically my house. We leave in a rain free zone. Remember last year when that tropical storm dropped 20 inches of rain all over Florida? We got 2 inches!

My motorcycles are gathering a layer of dust

We are in the midst of a 5 year drought in Northern Wisconsin. My little lake is down 4 feet and very little rain falling! Please send it north Waldo!!

On the prairies of Alberta, where I'm from they have declared a disaster droubt! What plants that did manage to come up are too short to even try to harvest. At least the land gets all that tilled under to help replenish it for next year, however, our farmers are in a pretty bad pickle. Hopefully most had crop insurance. I'm going to guess that the cost of Canola oil and wheat/barley/rye based products will go up quite a bit. Also sugar beets since that's a huge cash crop out in our prairies too.

In Vancouver, we've recorded the hottest temperatures since 1929. The last 4 days have been over 100F here and it only cools down to mid 80s at night. People are fighting over fans and airconditioners at Home Depot.

Yep the Suncoast on one side & 19 on the other keeps most of the rain away. We have watched the weather radar as storms will form, break up just before they pass over us and reform once they are clear of this area. We get just enough to say it rained or we get to watch the light show all around us.

These are pics from last Friday.
"Hard" rain ... as in ... Hail.
Total wipe out of garden and acres and acres of crops for miles

I have to check in on the "too Wet" side. We will finish the month around 10 inches - and counting................................. We have had 6 more inches since Barney's visit a bit over a week ago.

Oh crap, I hope that doesn't effect the cost of malt! It's bad enough that my LHBS charges something like $6 an ounce for hops!

It's been dry here in Omaha too. My grass is nice and brown.

The new grape vines keep on growing though, though I think I will probably be watering them tonight.

We are on the wet side over here and get nailed with good thunder storms and heavy down pours about every 2 days or more. Thank god I had my basement done or we would be floating away this year!
