I have always tried to support the Purple Foot when ever possible. The owner is very friendly and my kids love going there.
Northern Brewers quality has gone down and prices have gone up. Their carboys are horrible (I wouldn’t make a run on their remaining stock). I have cracked 3 degassing or cold stabilizing in the last year. I have never had an issue in 18 years prior. Always a hairline crack with the wine “emergency” racking to follow. They would at least replace for no charge.
