Hi everyone šŸ‘‹ I am Cindy from Belgium. Two years ago we bought a house that came with a big greenhouse and in it a grapevine more than 20 years old. The previous owners have no idea what kind of grape it is, but it's definitely good for eating. This year it gave a good harvest so I mustered the courage to try to make some wine. I'm a big wine fan so why not! šŸ˜€

It'll be really cool if someone can help positively ID the grapes, just so I know. I asked around and some suspect they are blue grapes or Concord grapes or Boskoop Glory, a variety from Netherlands.

Thanks in advanced and really looking forward to learn a lot from this forum.

welcome to WMT

I have no experience with Dutch varieties, the local nursery supplier is a good place to start to learn what is typical. Your picture shows some green berries which suggests they could ripen a bit more / get higher sugar and fruity aroma.

Concord variety has American genetics which contribute a unique ā€œfoxyā€ flavor, (a flavor like Welchā€™s grape juice). The berry is large, about 18mm. There are several seeds. The ones I grow have unpigmented flesh.
Good luck on your quest.
