I know I had a great Father's Day. All three boys were home today all day and even stayed for dinner. The boys helped me out one at a time working on a new vineyard sprayer I am building for use at Willsboro. It has adjustable width side booms. I had welded it all up and had some final fitting to do that they helped with. Simple things like sanding and wire brushing and even moving around and tipping over. Could I have done them alone? Sure, but their help always makes it easier tod do even if they are feather light.
No wine today. I want to enjoy the strawberry shortcake they have for me late, and I have yet to find a wine that goes well in my stomach with that. For dinner we had a ham steak grilled, barbequed venison steak and ribs, chips, dips, veggies with dip and a nice potato salad.
Did I get much work done today? Heck no, but who cares.spending time with theboysis what I became a father for.
Happy Father's Day all of you Dads.

I had a great day too! Worked a little this morning on things that needed done, then got cleaned up and went out for lunch with the wife, the youngest daughter, and my favorite son-in-law (my only one so far). After we ate we went to a local winery and had a bottle or two . Before we left to go home my daughter gave me a gift from her, her husband, my middle daughter, and my granddaughter.

Oh deer! Now Bert is going to want one of those!
I hope all you fathers had a great day yesterday. Bert has been in Wisconsin since Friday morning. He picked up a camper given to us by my best friend. I needed a mental health weekend so I stayed home and had quiet time. Sort of a time out in the whole house. (Yes, a princess can even make Fathers Day about her!) He's on his way home and will get something wonderful for dinner.
