Hi,

I'm relatively new to winemaking even though as a kid I worked summer jobs at several wineries, mostly in the vineyards though. Just dropping in with a quick hello.

Welcome!
You are so lucky. You live in a great wine growing area. You may not be far from "Walkers" up there.
ASk away we will make you a great winemaker.

Welcome aboard, glad you found us. Couple of nice places to get juice up there; Fulkerson Winery which is about sold out of everything already and Fall Bright winery which is partially sold out of juices. We have Walkers between the PA line and Buffalo which also sells a lot of the same juice.

FULKERSONS....I was just there Saturday loading up a bucket (see below). Welcome aboard! Too bad I live 5 hours away from that wonderful wonderful place.

I'm just getting ready to start my second batch of wine. So far I've been working with kits. My first batch was a Zinfandel which has finished aging and is in bottles now. It turned out pretty good for my first attempt - a little light bodied though.

I'm starting a batch of Reisling this weekend, again from a kit. If all works out well I'll try my hand at making wine from grapes as there are a lot of very good vineyards around here willing to sell grapes.

Welcome!

Thanks; I'm right between Seneca Lake and Canadaigua Lake. I agree it's a great wine area.

I'm sure that I will draw on the collective experience here on the road to advancing my wine making skills.

Thanks for the welcome.
