Hey! from South Florida!

Palm City actually! 30 miles north of West Palm Beach.

So, here's the short story... a friend I work with brews his own beer. I tried a couple and loved them but don't generally drink beer any more (too many carbs). I love wine though! So I dove in this weekend and have my first batch in the primary fermenter.

However, I know nothing about all this so I will be asking a ton of questions on the forum. I can't wait for that first batch!

I do have a hydrometer, a wine thief, and a power aerator, among the other usual equipment. I need to get a better thermometer I think. Maybe digital...?

Welcome aboard and ask away. I assume when you say power agitator you mean a stir mix for your drill.

yes, stir mix for the drill.... anytime I can use power tools...

Dan has an infared thermometer - it think - he points it at the carboy and digitally displays the temp.

My hydrometer has a thermometer in it - so as i check my wine - i read the temp.
