Hi All
Thank you for letting me join your forum. My name is Rick I live in northern New York in the Adirondack mountains. My first try at wine making was many many years ago when I was 15 or 16. I am now 59 :) . My first attempt was dandelion wine then I made a cranberry and a potato and grape. They all turned out great except the dandelion. I did it with out any sanitizing or airlocks just gallon glass jugs.
Well now I am getting back into it with all the proper equipment. So far I have 6 gallons of honey wine that is in the secondary ferment. Last week end I started a coffee wine just because I had all the stuff to make it and my granddaughter wanted to help me. :) Always good to get them involved.
I have been looking through the site and will have many questions I am sure.
Thank again
Rick

Welcome to the forum Rick!

So did you stay up late last night to make this first post or are you an early riser?

At any rate others should be logging on soon and will be greeting you.

Thank you all for the welcomes .
Bill I am a very early riser usually up between 3 and 4 am.
I am very impressed with what every one has done wow I say. I just got back from a local maple festival. Some one I used to work with many years ago come to find out he has bee hives and sells honey. He also told me he has been making mead. He sent me home with a bottle of raspberry mead. It is only 3 months old I know I should let it age but I really want to taste it. :) So maybe later the wife and I will give it a try.
Oh well back out side to work I am trying to move snow in the gardens so maybe I can plant in may. Over two feet deep here still.
