What's the difference in the Chilian juice buckets. My LHBS (200 miles?) is taking orders for $115.00. I've seen other stores selling theirs around $50.00. Is there a difference? I want to order one but not get gouged in the process.

No difference but there are the importers, then the distributor the distributors, distributor. Add all that plus transportation, profit and a margin for those customers that never come and pick their pails up after they ordered them. Many suppliers have no way to refrigerate the pails, so if th customer doesn't come in on the day specified the pails start warming up and taking off.

I can add about $20 more and get a good kit. I wish there was a closer LHBS with better prices.

If you have any smaller wineries around you that order juice sometimes you can get them to let you order juice and grapes when they do. I talked to a small winery around where I live and he said he'd send me an email when he gets ready to place his order for juice. I have a feeling that will be a lot cheaper. And even if they say no, it never hurts to try....
