I don't quite understand why you don't try other kits. There are plenty of kits in the $80 price range from Spagnols and WE. I've had it with MM too. The Super Tuscan from Spagnols is a great kit and I always buy from the place in Florida that has them for $108. Go and try a Spagnols kit and you'll never look back.

My local brewhouse has only ever carried mosti Mondale. Since I stopped there at least once a month that was always what i grabbed and I have been making those 8 years. However this Thursday I stopped in and he has 3 RJ's spag cru kits. I inquired about ordering a Spags Malbec and he is going to check. So I may be making a high end kit soon

FYI... There is an RJS Malbec in both the Cru level kits and the Cellar Classic Winery Series (WS) kits. The WS kit is a grade higher in oak and in body, has 2 liters more juice/concentrate and comes with "GenuWine Winery Crushed Grape Skins". The WS kits, looking online and comparing to my LHBS prices, appears to run about $10.00 more than the Cru Select kits.

IMO if going the RJS route, spend the extra $10 on the Winery Series. I think it is better than the Cru Select (not saying Cru Select is bad though)

Not to be picky and just for clarification, the Cru Select and Winery Series kits both have a 16 liter juice/concentrate bag; the WS wet grape pack is about 2 liters and this is what makes this kit an 18 liter one.
