Have the beginning SG and ending SG prior to backsweetening. When backsweetening Sg goes up... Which figure do I use for the lable? Calculate after backsweetening? I need to get a job.. going nuts with this retirement crap

I would think that even when you dilute it with the sugar, then it wouldn't go down that much. I would go with the final gravity before back sweetening it. But I'm no expert.

Use the figure before sweetening as long as you have stabilized with sorbate. Since the sweetener doesn't ferment, it doesn't add to the alcohol, but also doesn't lower what is in there appreciably.
