I made WE's last year's LE Argentine Malbec kit. We like it alot. WE also makes a Selection Argentine Malbec. Both are premium kits with skins.

Any guess on how the Selection kit will compare to the LE? Anyone done both?

i did not do the LE but did make the Selection Argentine Malbec Intl. It has been 20 months and only a couple bottles have survived. I recently served it to a friend that takes people on wine tours in France (wine included) and he was very impressed. I would make it again for sure

cheers

My guess is that it would depend on how sensitive/educated a wine tasting palate one has. For me I'd bet I wouldn't taste a dimes worth of difference between the two. Heck, I've been more than pleased with my low end RJS kit results and thrilled with the results from the high end grape skin kits I've made.

I have not made the LE either, but have made the SI. It was really, really good at bottling, a mere 3 mos. after pitching yeast -- I think the best of any kit I have made at this point in the process.

The 2012 LE kit you are referring to (I assume) was actually a blend of Malbec and Bonarda rather than just Malbec.
