I love the holidays, but I hate the holidays. For that reason, I crate this post. I wsould like to wish a Merry Christmas to those in my life who have passed and I hope others will join in, doing the same.

My first wife Joyce, you gave me 3 wonderful children, what more can I thank you for. You were my life and I know you are watching over us.

My step-father Shay, you were my Dad, when I needed one, you taught me work ethic, respect and, love for everyone. I will never forget you. You were and are always a large part of who I am.

Olesia's Father, Andrew. We had our differences, we overcame those, and you are forever in my heart.

To my nephew Ryan, you lived your life, you were taken too young. Big bear hugs to you. One Love Ryan...

Amen, We all need to reflect back people we have lost over the years, and remember the good times that everyone had together. We must also look to the future, and make the best we can out of our short lives. Like right now I have to work all of christmas weekend and don't get off till Monday at 6 am. We are doing some christmas stuff here to make it a little easier.

I too miss some loved ones ...
... not easy, especially around this time of year!

We can be blessed in that we remember them and see in them things we didn't always see when they were alive.

I miss my Dad and Mom the most ...
... bless their hearts, they were the most wonderful folks in the world.
They made me the best of what I am today ... I wish I had the knowledge early on to follow more and be a tad less independent than I was.
It's easy now to reflect and "see" where they were guiding me but the trade winds sometimes drifted me off course. I know now that they were right in many ways but in my defense I had to chart my own course.

I only hope that they are proud of me, as I've always done what I felt was the right thing in taking the next step.

Thanks for bringing this forward ffemt128, those who have passed can still be in our lives, I doubt a day goes by when I don't think of them.

My beloved pets also deserve a place here, I've never had better friends.
I love you all and wish you everlasting peace.

Happy Holidays to you all,

I'm not going to make a "list" of those who I loved who have passed on.

But, 11 yrs ago on December 21st (solstice, the shortest day of the year, 3 hrs, 40 mins of sunlight here), I lost my Dad. We came here together. The only family I have, had, here.

Imagine me, by myself, -30 below zero, a couple days before Christmas, and no drivers license, trying to take care of this. It was tough. Still is.

Got the call 2 hours into my first night on a new job!

I will always be indebted to all the friends who rallied around me on this festive period to take their time to help me get things taken care of.

He was a submariner, and I was able to get the Navy to bury him at sea aboard the USS Alabama, a nuclear sub. It took some doing, and about 8 months, but I was able to "get 'er done".

So Christmas brings uo lots of emotions for me, and I appologize to those around me if I don't feel the excitement of Christmas. I am by no means bah humbug, but find other great holidays. Like 4th of July and Vet/memorial days to celebrate..

Doesn't mean I don't wish each and everyone of you and your families a joyous holiday season.

Yes, let us take a moment to remeber those who are no longer with us. It's important.
