MLF test results

I'm unsure to pitch a different strain, if I re-pitch I wonder if the same brand would be better or not? The quickest one I can get would be Wyeast but will check around and see if small Lalvin Bacchus package is available somewhere. Or just leave it alone for another month.....

You now are approaching 3 months of doing this! MLF is designed for 1 month ... 2 months tops... Even if you got it going now you would be looking at 4 months by completion! It is not the end of the world to not put it through mlf... A lot never do...

I hear ya...
I re-pitched same White Labs last Thursday and so far no bubbles activities, it seems to be stuck..!

I am thinking of doing a test this weekend and if no improvements I will stun the mlb by adding 1/4 tsp k-meta.
By having now 2 doses of the mlb, would this affect the flavor and body of this batch?

Any other advise?

IF the MLB isn't working, then there would be no flavor profile changes from it.
I don't mean to sound harsh, but...
I've said this many many times, you get what you pay for.
I understand that you didn't want to pull the trigger on a $39 packet of VP 41, instead you bought the White Labs MLB which has been documented on this site many times as not working well, if at all, and you got more than you bargained for:

• Uncertainty
• Stress
• Potential bottle bombs in the future

I cannot believe that you repitched the same White Labs MLB twice...lol....Why? I would have spent the money to purchase VP 41, Acti-Ml and Opti-malo and got the job done the first time.
Remember, use the right tool for the right Job.

I understand and learned my lesson, but I pitched the same brand as I considered pitching a different brand would not be advisable and better to stick with the same type.

I did what Pumpkinman advised on my stalled. MLF. I switched cultures to VP41 and added Opti Malo. MLF took off like gang busters. MLF is now complete. I wasted a month with a White lab culture plus risked infection given the very low S02.
