I hit the year end sales and got three Meglioli kits. Two out of the three kits had a little Sticky wine in the bottem of the box. One kit was wet on the liner, but I could not see a hole. Not much if any leaked out as the bag was full. The two that had leaks, also had juice between the inner bag and outer bag. Has anyone else had this problem? Is it a problem?

I would give George (or who you bought them from) a call. They'll tell you to go on and make the kit, and it maybe just fine. But do make them ASAP and make that call.

I did not get this kit from George. I saw two places online that had $100 off the Kits to make more room for the 2010. The kits were really cheap.I know George would take care of me, but will see about these places. Thanks I will call them and see what they say.

Unless there is leakage where you have lost an amount that is really noticeable I dont see a problem as these are 2-3 ply bags which were sanitized(Sterilized?). I have had many many kits like this and none of them ever went bad this way. The only time I had a problem with one was a kit that had lost a considerable amount (about 1/3) and even then the came out delish but I had to substitute the missing must. Luckily I bought the kit from George and they replaced the kit and let me keep what was left in the other so I ended up with 12 gallons that tasted almost exactly the same even though I did sub 1/3rd of the juice for frozen concentrate.

I've never had leaks with any Mosti product but I have had a few minor leaks over the years. I always just made the kit and it was fine.

I would still contact that vendor, he should offer you a replacement, or something similar since last years Meglioli kits are gone.

A similar thing happened to me. Buy from George!
