I read on the forum all the posts about extended aging of wines. My concern is that I want to be around when the wines are ready! Today is my 69th birthday. I should have started this hobby ten years ago.

I opened another bottle of this MMR Nero D' Avola. It was fantastic, if I do say so myself. Thirteen months in the bottle really helps. It did not carboy or barrel age. I guess what really matters is how long it ages more than where. Sure glad I have another 6 gallons aging now.

I have opened both spits and 2 full bottles now and its getting mighty good. Mine is right at 15 months now.
