I'm wondering if a very great percentage of muscadine wine is made with a single variety or a mixture of varieties? I have planted 20 vines so far and I have 10 varieties. I only want 3 more varieties, then I'm done. Obviously any wine I make will be mixed. I'll do good to have separate red and white batches.
So what do you winemakers say?

separate is good but most commercial muscadines are mixed that I know of only separation is in red and white with most, one good thing about making your own wine is you do it like you want not like everyone else does

Like Eddie said most commercial wineries blend the whites together and the reds together. I would make some separate and some blends.

Another factor in growing them is that self fertile vines have to be planted within 25 or 30 feet of female vines, which encourages mixing.
