Greetings,
My name is Christopher. I live in Louisiana. I started my first vines last February and a few have reached the end post. All but one came from Isons. These are Darlene, Isons self black, two sugargates. i added Carlos. Just planted Noble and will be planting Black Beauty.

I live in the Gonzales area. I had the soil tested. The pH runs about 6.6 to 6.7. It is dark clay about the first 6 inches of surface then gray clay below that. Muscadines grow well in this soil but it can't be planted in a low area in the event of a heavy streak of rain. I grew a carlos at another place and it grew very well in our clay soil. It got giant in just two growing seasons.
