Used my new Vinmetric tester for the first time. Marathon testing 12 wines for PH & SO2. Knowledge is POWER. Wow. PH from 3.08, a Sangria to 3.85, a Malbec. Others were right in range. SO2 was surprisingly close to the recommended amount per PH levels. The 1/8-1/4 tsp every 3 months seems to work just fine for the racking I do, heavy vacuum style. The one big think I found out is on most of my wines I don't have to add any K-Meta ( or very little) at bottling. Always worried I had too little, but probably added too much. Great tool! Can't believe I waited so long to get it. Roy

Got one, now I wish I was not too lazy to actually use it lol.

I agree, I usually use it to check the pH in the beginning and that's it. I am going to try to do better this year. Another New Year's resolution. It is a lot of money just to check the pH when it will do so much more.
