It's far worse than that. Many news outlets reported something like "more than the GDP of the entire Earth." But that VASTLY understates the case.

Consider accumulating the yearly GDP of the entire Earth. But instead of yearly, you accumulate it once every second. And you do that from now until the sun burns out (let's say, 10 billion years from now). That amount of money is only 0.1% of the value of the fine.
