I learned to drive stick on a 1969 Chevy C10 Stepside ... I miss that truck.
I taught my sons on a '98 Tacoma -- you've think they'd jockey to drive the relatively new Camry ... nope ... they both wanted to drive the old truck.
Funnily enough, I wondered about the value of a '69 Chevy truck ... be cool to buy one ... the cheapest was $31,000 USD ... I guess I'll live with my memories.

The first time I ever saw one was in college when a friend left me his truck to pull the boat out of the lake after a long day of waterskiing and other shenanigans and forgot to tell me it was 3 on the tree or that it had a worn out clutch. I was about six inches from baptizing the whole thing when I finally got it right. Drove it all the way home in first because I was so scared to shift again.
