My brother-in-law worked in a quarry. Somehow, he managed to flip an Euclid over.

Nephew ran a dozer for years on big construction projects in hilly TN. Then for the last 25, he has had his own paving company. Lots of steep work, all incident free. He always says, "Ya gotta drive with your butt!" Meaning that if you feel your butt start to shift, you'd better make adjustments quick!

I think we only had to climb about 20 feet, but without the luxury of a mat. One of my classmates fell off and broke his arm. Those were happy days!

I have slid sideways off a slope dozing. It is exciting first couple of times. If there's no drop off below, it's not a problem. I'm talking older, smaller dozers. Not those big one that have weight up high. Fozen ground.... it's like ice skating!!
