Yes, by using acid to decrease the pH (increase acidity) of the solution, the effectiveness of the sulfite solution is increased. Citric acid has traditionally been used to decrease the pH as it remains clear in solution, tartaric has a tendency to cloud after a while, making the solution a milky color. I don't know if it loses its effectiveness when it gets cloudy.so adding citrus acid to a k-meta solution will add affectedness to a k-meta solution ?
