Below 1.000 would be 1.010 then 1.020 etc. Many refer to it as 1.100 and that is way incorrect. Many of my wines start at 1.080 thru 1.092 to say 1.100 would be very high. Reachable but probably not correct. There is a section in the Tutorials on how to read a hydrometer.
