I'm new so bear with me.
I purchased a Moments Malbec kit and have had a great time so far. The kit recommended to stir occasionally during secondary fermentation to help with degassing so I did. When I degassed I stirred forever (probably an hour or so) but never recieved any frothy co2 bubbles. So I moved on with adding chitosan and kiesolsol and the stabilizer.
I was at the wineshop today and the clerk suggested I rack about half of my wine into another carboy and shake them a little to degas. So I did. And the degassing went much better. Anyways my question is this, would this affect the clarifying and stabilization or am I fine? Can you "restart" the clarifying process if it doesn't go as planned?
