No need to go into a bucket - everytime you transfer into a carboy you are degassing the wine. You are also not adding any additional oxygen exposure to it as well.Seems I’m always siphoning into a bucket to degass or so I can reuse the carboy. Into a bucket clean and sanitize the carboy back into the carboy. I know a lot of people seem to like this pump but after watching the video, I don’t think it’s for me.
