I just finished a batch of Valroza and didn't have the SG for the grape juice at the start. I did take the SG at the end of fermentation and that was 0.996 so I want to determine the alcohol content of the wine. The directions of the kit state that the SG at the start should be between 1.080 - 1.100 but I was wondering if anyone has an actual reading. This would help give me a more accurate idea. Thanks

Joe

Joe, you are SOL....gotta have that first reading. I suggest you go middle of the road SG 1.09, finished at .996, ABV 12.36% according to the calculator I used.
Live and learn....I've done the same thing!

Thanks guys a lesson learned! At least I have a ballpark estimate.
