Other shipping wine within california

Hi all,
I know there was quite a long thread about shipping wine but my question concerned about shipping wine via ground.What are the exception to the rules

My understanding is that is against the law shipping with USPS.

I have used UPS here in Nebraska. The main branch won't do it but the side offices(located in strip malls) will. They always ask what I am shipping and I tell them marinade.

I just shipped some wine using FedEx and they never asked what I was shipping so sometimes it is a crapshoot.

I have heard the same thing. and I suppose it is pushing the envelope but the wine can be stated that it is a marinade?

Yes, call it "steak marinade" which it could very well be. Unless you are a bonded winery it is illegal to ship wine.

Beer, wine, and liquor may not be sent through the mail. If you want to reuse a box for shipping that has alcoholic beverage labels on it, remove all logos and labels so your package will pass through the mail system.

At my UPS store, they always ask and I tell them marinade. They then label it as food.

I use the UPS website to prepay and print a shipping label. Then take to a UPS store to drop off and they don't ask.
