Looking at what shows in the picture, that wouldn't pass the code here either! However there is a handrail of the proper configuration on the inside of that one

We are very proud of the home and I certainly want to thank everyone for their compliments! Joe: The fireplace is ducted into my main heating ductwork with a 2stage heating thermostat so the fireplace is the primary heat if there is a fire. If no fire then the furnace comes on. Thank you! I didn't think you had forgotten me with the wine sample!!!
 
We see lots of deer of course but we also see beaver and otters. I saw a fisher the other day. They are quite elusive. They were planted by the forest service to control the porkies and it has worked pretty well. I haven't seen any bear close to the house but my son has 8 hunting dogs in his kennel so I think that discourages the bear! We also have a cute little fox that comes around occasionally! We have 40 acres that ire bordered on 3 sides by National Forest and the 4th side belongs to our nephew. We are fortunate! Now back to wine making!!!
