Full fledged members of the Mutual Appreciation Society, one and all. I love you guys/gals!

And that's not just the wine talking. It only speaks Italian! :h

I'm in too! All you guys have been completely invaluable! Even though I'm still early in my wine making journey, the knowledge gained has been sooooooo helpful.

The only reason for a forum is to share knowledge and HELP one another. Every forum needs new members--and it's the new people with their questions and contributions that is the true engine that keeps the forum alive. Comments from the members, like Jericurl recieved on WP, just drives people out. I don't like that attitude. And I've told them that several times, over there!!

I encourage every newbie lurker here to just jump into the conversation and contribute/ask questions. The "beginner's winemaking forum" really belongs to you.

This is the stuff I love to hear. I took over this forum years ago to turn this into just that, a forum specifically catering to users who will come on and ask a question that maybe has been asked before and not get bashed for doing so. Yes we have a search engine just like every other forum out there but like them all they typically suck! Sometimes they work and sometimes they lead you on a never ending search in which you get sidetracked and eventually give up or forget what the heck you were searching for to begin with! Sometimes we have to be the bad guys and remove content and that is because that removed content will always turn this forum into a cussing spitting hair pulling nasty public fight and I refuse to condone it here! I hand picked all the mods here with the exception of a few in which I had help from my Mods picking out of a huge crowd now. There are quite a few other wine forums out there and some are very knowledgeable and usually come at a price of getting your head bitten off until you are at their level and for some out there you will never be at their level (At least in their minds!!!!!) I think we all know who Im talking about there!!

Wade--You've done a remarkable job with this forum. I remember its early incarnation and pretty much avoided it because many of the residents always tried to take you to the center of the ring. How does that attitude have ANYTHING to do with winemaking? You done a good job of weeding!!!

Agreed Wade! You've done such a great job that we don't see anything that would bother us or make us feel uncomfortable here. So thank you very much for making this such a great place to learn the art of home winemaking!

Ditto! But Wade has the cool decals!

Ditto. Thanks to the members who respond to the questions. If it wasn't for this site, I may have never became addicted to wine making. My family and friends also thank you.

I just bottled a black raspberry from homewinery.com and am enjoying a bit of the "leftover". Here, here! Cheers, everyone!
