Tiny looking concord

I recently picked a local vine of Concord grapes that had a mix of a smaller looking concord that taste like some kind of poison. I kept the grapes separated as I picked. So far I have 125 lbs of a sweet concord and 25 lbs of the pea size grape. What are they and are the eatable?

It's possible that this is a wild grape, commonly known as Fox grapes. At this time of year, they will be very acidic and not taste very good even tho they LOOK ripe. I have lots of wild grape thruout the woods here and they are never sweet until after a frost. And,yes, they are much smaller than a Concord.

These grapes pare far from sweet and bitter. Should I try to make wine with them?

If they dont taste good i would pitch them.

I agree--never make wine from a fruit that doesn't taste good. Wine is only as good as the fruit.
