Two gallon carboys

For several years I have asked the local store for a 2 or 2.5 gallon glass carboy. If I wanted 5000 I could get them new from China for a few dollars.

Ten liter exists in Germany. This was found at a resale type shop.

It successfully made a bus trip to todays hotel, ,,, now the stupidity part. How to get it safely home? It is about 10.5” max diameter/ 15 inches high.
The really stupid part ,,, I wonder if I could find a few more or some 6 liter (1.5 gallon)?

Geez Madison you really wanted to get our attention. I have 5 - 2.5 gallon carboys and they are great to have. I found them on Craigslist and the only time I saw them. They also had 2 - 3/4 gallon that I got. You can never have enough different sizes.

Looking in shops today I see a supply of 5 liter, ~ 1.5 gallon grosch bottles. The wife says hats and T shirts are better.

The ten liter glass made it home in a suitcase with several bottles of wine and other liquids

If I would have had a car to explore in other neighborhoods I would have hunted for more in between carboys.

Jealous, been looking for 2 gal carboys for years. Nice find! Only had to travel half way around the world to pick it up.

There are five old style two gallon US made carboys in the vinters club. An example;
