Hi All,

I have been meaning to add raisins to see if they add some body to wines I make from juice. I used Luc's method and put them in my Sangiovese today. Immediately it went wild. I hope this is a positive because my boys had so much fun working the button on the blender chopping them up.

There are different thoughts on cutting them up.
I do not. Now if you added after yeast then it can become a volcano. Add before yeast and let it sit w/ Pectic for a while B4 yeast

Soak them in a little water over night before blending and you'll be a happy camper.

I was told one could use grape concentrate instead of raisin...your taughts?

i used Luc's method and rinsed them and let them soak overnight... the Sangiovese is smoking along right now. We'll see in a few months if it made a taste difference..
