Al, I don't find the 5 million dollar ticket so bad but there are a few factors keeping me from bidding.

1. the commute is longer than I wish
2. If the grapes aren't good enough for the current owner they certainly aren't good enough for this group. Can't believe you even presented a vineyard to us below our standard.

The fun part is you, mike and I could meet their to play the three musketeers.

The Three Musketeers is one of the most favorite and famous novels written by Alexandre Dumas. For all fans of this tale, here is some interesting news. A château in France, the Château d’Arricau-Bordes, which helped inspire this novel, is currently up for sale for €3.65 million ($5.29 million).
The Château has a number of outhouses including a guards’ cottage, a swimming pool and billiards rooms. But the best feature is the vineyard. The Château has its own vineyard which produces 4,800 bottles a year called Appellation Madiran Controlee. It also possesses its own winery, barrel ageing chai, and bottle storage and oenology laboratory.
Robert Shetler-Jones revealed he had been thwarted in his bid to make more wine. He and his wife are moving a few kilometers away to try and produce the perfect Armagnac. So the house awaits an owner.

you didnt mention the fancy door..."The features of this home are sure to fascinate one and all. The door
for instance boasts of a pistol lock and if it was ever forced open a
ball would fire from a tube hidden in the lock and hit any intruder in
the groin. A genius concept, this unique lock however is no longer
functional."

and how do you know the current grapes are not god enough...in the hand of "The Three Masters" who knows what potential they have! :)

Bwahahahahahahahaha!

i would like to see how that pistol lock worked..i would like a couple of those around here

Let's see now........ A French Chateau with French people= my groin would be in danger- yikes. Al, nothing to worry about- a nice tall Italian..... If that pistol went off, you might lose a knee cap!
