So it looks like tomorrow they're framing up for a 12x30' concrete pad for the motorhome and a small 3x3' pad in front of the breaker box on the side of the house. We're also having them frame up for steps down that side because it's pretty steep and I've ended up on my butt more than once.
Pouring scheduled for Wed. or Thursday. Can't wait.

Playing outside!

I have been putzing with the barn when the weather allows. Today I framed in the floor of the center bay to leave a hole in the floor. I’ll put a hoist in the peak to lift heavy stuff upstairs.
That's a pretty big deer stand you got there fella.

Not today, but this weekend. Sunday afternoon project of making a bottle washer attachment. I have a Fastrack system, and the bottle holder is great, but the pump and sprayer component just didn't work well. The bottles didn't really get the spray/stream they needed. So... this seems to have fixed that issue.

I say it's an "attachment" as I already use the 5-gallon bucket with a sump pump for carboy washing. The lid has a hole with a 4" collar that keeps the carboy in place. I'm using the same bucket/sump pump and just changing out the top to accommodate bottles.

This attachment is 1/2" pipe with 1/4" pex uprights. I put a 3" drain in the bottom of the clear bucket, where the feed from the sump comes up and into the bottle washer, and then allows the water to go back into the blue bucket and recirculate. I can leave it on for however long and do something else and then come back to it. I did install a valve, thinking the bottles would rocket out of the holders, but everything works very well without it. I believe I'm using a 1/3hp sump. Love it...

I'm thinking I can get a few more Fastrack holders and then clean a number of cases in a short timeframe, change the water out and then sanitize them. It should be pretty fast one case at a time. I'll let you know after doing some processing this coming weekend. Oh... and yes, I'll move the electrical lines from behind the unit, this was just a "let's see how this works" picture. I should of course know how some of those situations turn out.... LOL

Good news, bad news on our motorhome. Insurance won't cover the cost citing poor quality work by the dealer and the dealer won't stand behind their warranty because it blew off 3 weeks after the 1 year warranty. We were quoted $16,000 and an unknown amount of months by the dealer which of course caused us to investigate if it could be a DIY project. Youtube said "You can do it!" so a week ago I moved it from the dealer back to my driveway and started tearing it apart. Dozens of videos gave almost identical instructions so I ordered all the materials plus some updated parts and some replacement parts for a grand total of right around $2,500. I'm 33 hours into it, finished the prep today and am ready to roll out and glue down the new roof. I believe the prep work will be the hardest part and the reinstall should go quicker. Our weather is very hot and windy for the next couple of days so we're planning on Friday for the install. Wish us luck. Photos of starting condition, with all accessories pulled, fiberglass removed and finally all cleaned up, seams re-glued and taped and ready for the TPO membrane.

One of those fun days today on the course! Played the back nine for "fun". Lots more trees and hills (and canyons). Switched to another ball I had in my bag and all of a sudden I put on a driving clinic. The rest of the round was long and straight down the middle of the fairway. Super nice day today, almost 80F and light winds.

Middle of the fairway!

Par 3 17th with canyon all around the back. On the green in one!

18th hole. You need to climb the ladder to see if its OK to tee off. Blind shot!

Another tee shot right down the middle!

Watch says 4.7 miles walked today total!

looks like a fairly rural area course. Our local course costs around 35.00 a round and another 5 or 10 for a cart. Think it's time to give the game a try again.
Looks like fun.

This is basically a muni course so its maintained and operated by the County. Green fees are basically identical to yours. I am enjoying the Senior rates these days and even bought a season pass for the year. Since Los Alamos is sitting on top of finger mesa's the course follows the mesa tops. Front nine is definitely easier and more open. Back nine more hilly, more trees with many holes having a narrow tree lined tee box that opens up down the fairway. No water hazards on the course being we live in the desert and the grass is all watered with recycled grey water from the wastewater treatment plant. Little longer drives since we are sitting at 7000ft EL.

Looks like you've got a really nice base on there and probably will have a roof to live through the next zombie apocalypse.

Doing about the same as I have for the last week or so. Somehow wound up with a detached retina. Vision went to crap on Saturday. Monday called our eye doctor. Usually takes a month or more to get in. Was in at 9:00 tuestday. Eye doc says knows there is something wrong but too cloudy to see. Sent me to a retina specialist. Was in with him at 1:00. He found where things became detached. Said we could fix it with a lazer. Might sting a bit. Holy crap, sting was not quite the right word. After a bunch of shots with the lazer, not working. Doc tried to get mein the hospital yet tues. afternoon. No go, Wed. morning in and surgery. Back home, now keep your face level with the floor. Oh, for thenext couple weeks or so. Be a while, but vision is coming back. At least can get up and wander around some. No driving for a week or so yet, no lifting, reading is out, tv was pretty well out, went and bought some headphones and put audiobooks on the kindle. Been some long days, but is getting better and will get thru it. Words you never want to hear from your doc, detached retina. Will tell how it winds up when it happens. Arne.
