Ok so it probably was, at best, a $100 kit which isnt exactly top shelf, but not watered down table wine either. How old was it when you last cracked a bottle? Give it time and it will probably be lovely. We had a mid tier 16L Pinot Grigio made for us last fall. At 3 months it was almost undrinkable. Opened one last week and its getting better, still a little too light for my taste but my wife said "perfect". By summer I expect it to be a fantastic sipper for those afternoons on the patio.
