A worthy tribute indeed! And for anyone who has met Dave and his wife, you can appreciate the "down to earthiness" of his product!

Way to go Dave!

Great recipe that can be easily modified to make dozens of DB variations.

Wonder why such a recent article (2 weeks ago) would have the older recipe with 2 48 oz bottles of 100% Lemon Juice?

Awesome Dave! Congrats. I also noticed there is a link to the forum thread. That should get a few hits.

Wow Dave I have to agree you certainly deserve recognition for the recipe and all the wonderful help you have given to all of us who make DB wine. For me it has really been fun. I can't thank you enough.

Will

I am proud to be able to say I live in the same state as DD!

(I will be starting my very first batch of DDDB next month. Now everyone knows I am a DDDB virgin):<

Do you suppose Dave has seen the @dangerdave post yet?? If not, he is going to be in for a suprise when he gets back on here. Have to check and see if he uses caps in his signature. If so will have to change this. Arne.

Let us all not forget that it was Lon's Skeeter Pee recipe that Danger Dave used. He only added some frozen fruit. I think Lon deserves the real credit.

And Dave would be the first person to agree with you.

Wow, Dragons blood has always been listed as an evolution or modification of Skeeter Pee, Pee is an evolution of Hard Lemonade i'd guess, which was an evolution of cider or citrus wine. I don't get the negative comments I see here from time to time regarding Dave DB.

I don't think anyone needs to bash Dave. He is a friend and and he took Pee to the next level. Nothing wrong with that. I consider Lon a friend also and have my label on his web site. Two great ideas. Jack Keller, well he is in a school of his own. He has done as much for the hobbyist as anyone I know. I don't always agree with his recipe's but they sure contain a lot of info and a place to start.

Dragons blood

NO MATTER HOW YOU CUT IT, ON THIS FORUM -DD- HAS OVER 100 THOUSAND VIEWS AND THERE'S NO END IN SITE. HE AND HIS DRAGONS BLOOD ARE UNTO IT SELF. It's EASY TO MAKE AND VERY AFFORDABLE.DRAGONS BLOOD IS TRULY,THINKING OUTSIDE THE BOX,AND "I KNOW ABOUT THINKING OUTSIDE THE BOX".:HB

I had no intention of bashing. However I think my snarky, condesending tone came across in writting.

My point was just adding to the "dont forget Lonn".

I am student of history and was simply pointing out that if credit one, you could credit many. None of us are really original in making wine, since it has been done for nearly 8,000 years.

I have made dave's recipe and as well as using it as a stepping stone.
He has always been kind and helpful.

But I would not say "he took pee to the next level" as a simple search of the internet indicate people have been making Berry wine for quite some time.
He found a consistent way to make it, and an wonderfully easy recipe to follow.
I would say that he found a way to combine berry wine and Skeeter pee, wrote it up in an easy to follow recipe and made it simply for beginners and wine making pro's alike. He has been there to usher people through the process.

I think it's great for both .But most things are started from taking something from something else and running with it. Dave certainly did that with the Dragon's blood so ..
