Thanks guys!

I keep going out to the winery and looking at all of them, picking one up like a kid with a new bike. Pretty fun when you go from juice to a finished product that you can hold in your hands with pride.

My tasting notes are these: Big black fruit, leather, spice, green stems, and smooth. The big fruit came out after 2-3 hours of decanting. Like I said its still just a baby. I only have 6 bottles left and I plan on tasting it again in three months.

Update!

I opened my first bottle tonight! Almost 14 months now since the born on date. I poured the first glass through my Vinturi to give it a head start and took a taste.......

Hmmmm......... Still taste young but definitely drinkable. I decided to let it sit and breath in the glass and went outside to do some watering, then got a phone call. 30 min later take a few more sips........

Wow this is tasting better, lets give it some more time. 30 min later I go back and give it another go.

BAM! I had a hard time keeping my nose out of the glass! It exploded! Fruit everywhere! Black cherry, cigar box, vanilla, wow!

Loooonnnggg finish with great acid. This will rival commercial wine if you give it the time it so deserves. I am soooooooooo glad I picked up another one from George last month before they are all GONE!

Now to ration myself to only 1 bottle max per month. This is one amazing wine and definitely worthy all the accolades it has received!

I just picked up my first Red Mountain Cab yesterday and i can,t wait to get it in the primary.Out of all the wines i have made to date the Cellar craft 18 liter kits seem to be ahead of the pack.

On the way home i popped into the Ford dealer and traded my 2008 f350 for a 2011 f350 with the new 6.7 diesel.Wife is going to really kill me now!

This should be the best cab i have ever done by kit if all the hype is true.

Picture of the juice after oak and yeast added.

I have high hopes for this 1 after the first three Cellarcraft Showcase kits i have done have been the best out of all the major kit manufactures I have done .

The 3 I speak of are Amarone
Carmanere
Mourvedre Grenache LE

Stay tuned ......

Just out of curiosity, what kits have you made from the other 3 big manufacturers?

W.E.- Stags Leap Merlot , Luna Rossa, Petit Verdot, Pacific Quartet ,Crushendo Australian Shiraz

Kenridge Founders Series- Supertuscan , Cab Shiraz

Spagnols- En Premiur Hightail Merlot, En Premiur Australian Shiraz ,Cru Select Okanagan Red Meritage , Cellerclassic Winery series Cab, Cellerclassic Grande Shiraz, Cruselect Old Vine Zin, Cruselect Cab-shiraz-merlot.

Not all of these kits are aged the same amountof time and the Celler Craft kits i spoke of are aged the most.

I,m sure that the high end spagnols products will produce a great wine (i just need to let them age ).

Fairly happy with the Founders series kits i have done.
