Looks mike my grape vendor ran out of cabernet sauvignon but still has cabernet franc. What is the big difference between the 2? Would cabernet franc blend well with merlot and zin?
I actually heard that cab sauv was made by grafting cab franc and sauv blanc.
So you would be "going back to the roots" by using cab franc. Personally I prefer cab sauv tho
I would suggest trying a Chinon red for a nice style of Cab Franc. Might want to try GRE yeast, which is suppose to cut down on green characteristics.
