One piece of advice when degassing from the carboy, remove about a quart of wine to give you more head space for the foam! Wine volcanos are not fun to clean up

. I got the drill mounted stirrer from George and was so excited about trying it out and shoved it into 6 gallons of concord wine and hit it pretty hard and all of a sudden purple foam was shooting out the top about 6 inches in the air! I did have a large plastic lid under the carboy, but that didn't keep it all off the floor.


I would have loved to have filmed this! It would have been good for a few laughs!
