We recently moved and with our new place came a small neglected vineyard. I did my best to prune the wayward vines and I've now harvested two small crops with one vine that has quite a few red grapes left that are not ready to be harvested. I have no idea what varieties are out there! It's probably concord, reliance or canadice and niagra. I'm happy and excited! After tasting different local wines from different varieties I have placed an order for this spring so I can replace the old dead vines as well as several that look like they have grown up from rootstock and have no grapes on them. I ordered mostly Petite Pearl along with some Frontenac Blanc and Swenson White. The wine I had from the Petite Pearl variety was fabulous! Wish me luck. I'm learning as I go.
