Joe, no, have never done MLF.

I'm not a kit maker but i have read you are not to mlf a kit.

As long as your water is not stinky or full of iron and is safe to drink use it. You can use any bottled water in the stores whether it is drinking, Spring or distilled for making kit wines. The manufactures take all of this into consideration and the idea of sprinkling the yeast on the wine instead of mixing it in is all part of the process.
