Started this kit > 48 hours ago and no fermentation. Has anyone had problems with this kits yeast? Room temp 68. thx

Are you sure it's not a quiet fizzy fermenter. Put your ear to the must and listen.

What is the yeast that came with the kit? I'm assuming that it's likely EC-1118 or an equivalent. Have you checked the SG?

Mine did but that was 2 years ago this month so they may have swapped but I kinda doubt it. IIRC this was a very quiet, no foam "fizzy coke style" fermenter.

Brought room temp up to 74 then (60 hours since added yeast) fermentation kicked in.

Yes EC -1118. Once I brought the room temp up 4 degrees (60 hours from adding yeast) fermentation kicked in. thx
