Happy Bithday NurseJohn! You have great company in your birthday. The USA and my wife Cindy. I will try to drink a glass of wine in your honor, but I'm getting pretty tired after all I had to do for her today. LOL
I baked her a carrot cake of all things. I asked her last evening what kind of cake she wanted, and she replied "Oh you don't need to make me one because I don't have any carrot cake mixes." So I got up before she did this morning and made one from scratch. I frosted it this afternoon with some cream cheese frosting and added grated carrots to the top instead of sprinkles. Then I thought a few raisins would look good. We have carrot cake ice cream and Fireworks ice cream to go with it later.
I tied vines most of the day and mowed the 1 acre of lawn before cooking her dinner. I got off easy there. She wanted BLT sandwitches so that was a piece of cake to make. I think I will take the rest of the evening off. It is July 4th after all.
Oh, I almost forgot. I always thought one of the neighbors was a bit different. This afternoon he drove in and got out of his car as I was mowing the lawn. My mouth dropped as I realized he had on a kilt and checkered socks!

Thanks everyone for the birthday wishes. I had a great day. My wife and I went to a local winery that is owned by some friends of ours. They had a band playing, so we had some wine,relaxed and enjoyed the music. To end the day, we went to my son's home and shot fireworkswith the grandkids.
