I am planning on a backyard vineyard for about 120 vines in a 50ft by 50ft space.
The main problem is that I have 1 outside tap already irrigating a small vegetable garden about 30metres away from the house (100ft).
The vineyard area is going to be about 80 metres away (260ft).
What are the best options for extending this? Ideally, I'd like to have the pipes underground but admit that it might just be cheaper to lay hosepipe for that length.
Pressure should be ok as it works fine for 30metres to the vegetable garden.
Using a tap slitter seems to reduce the pressure even if only one tap is on, I'm not sure if that is to do with the hole in the tap lever or not.
I have to make sure no water is left in the pipes in winter or they will crack in the -30 degree celsius temperatures.
Any options or recommendations?
