My family and I have been making wine from crates of grapes I get from a local distributor that gets the wine grapes from California every year. Typically I buy 20 boxes of Pinot noir and merlot and have a nice little party with kids destining the grapes and stomping on them. The kids love it and we get more than enough wine for my family and friends to the last year. Typically I’ll bottle last years haul the morning of the party. However with the virus this year money is obviously a little tighter. Would still like to make the most of it with my kids and get around the same yield so I was thinking of getting half the grapes and than adding fresh juice from the same variety as the juice is much cheaper than the fresh grapes. Has anyone experimented with this?
