Masta gave me a bottle of this a couple of years ago at is picnic and Ive been hording it and decided to open this wine with a friend who got me into this hobby and all I can say is wow. This is by far the best wine Ive ever had!!!!!!!! I wish I could afford to buy some of these but they are way out of my price range but for those of you that can afford them I IMPLORE</font> you to do so and let them age. If I had bought this at a store and paid $220 for it I would have not been dissapointed!!!!

Wow - that's quite a recommendation! I'm going to have to save some pennies in the piggy bank and buy that one!

This wine was bottled on 6/12/07 so 3 years of aging and great juice to start with makes some awesome wine! Thanks Wade for sharing this info and the best advise and the hardest for new wine makers to understand is how important is to to let your wine age properly.

I was checking the cellar earlier today and I have a Cru Select RQ_2004 French Merlot bottled on 7/2/05. This was awesome a few years ago and I wonder what is like now after4 years of aging.

I always said to my self that those kits are too expensive and never even thought for a second that they could be that much better but I stand corrected and when you work out what it costs per bottle its only about $7.30 a bottle and the end result is phenomenal.

I have an all juice barolo and a amerone that are a year old and am setting aside 6 bottles of each to not touch for a while. I am thinking of doing this for all my kits. This definitely reenforces my thinking. Thanks

I just picked up an AllJuice Barolo this evening at FVW, and plan on starting it tonight or tomorrow morning. It only costs about 2/3 what the Meglioli costs, but if it turns out to be 2/3 as good as Wade's description of the Meglioli in a couple years, I will be satisfied, and then some!

Ah, the man himself came out to join us. Glad to hear from you again Scott! If you need some help determining if your aging wines are any good I could be of great service!

Wayne,

I'm pretty sure George told me that you'll be able to pre-order at the end of this year and then you can get one fresh off the line come early 2010 when they are released. It's only a couple of months away.

Thanks Jim and speak of the devil - got newsletter today which announced that the next crop of MMs will be pre-ordering soon - must start saving pennies again!
