I went to the basement and had forgotten to check my Milwaukee PH55 for some time, it was sitting in a glass container with spring water so the probe stays wet.

Unfortunately, the water dried out and do not know for how long it's been dry...:po

I wonder what's the likelihood that the probe is damaged...
I do not have 7 or 4 solutions to calibrate it right now but guess should make the 25 miles one way trip to buy the solutions and test it today.

I wanted to check the PH of my chilean cab sab and merlot blend.

I would let it soak for a while in pH 4 buffer. Maybe overnight. See if that revives it.

Geek, If you do get it working, here is how I solved that problem. I put some storage solution in the cap, put it on the meter and then use electrical tape around the seam to keep it sealed. It seems to work well and not dry out.

ok, thanks, I always left the cap on the side.
For how long did you leave it with the cap on with storage solution, does it ever dry out or not?

I've never gone longer than 3 months without using it, but it's always had solution in it when I've removed the tape.
