Fermentation is a go my so gravity is dropping as expected... Yet my estimated alchohal content is already only around 5 ish percent... Yet the wine is still very sweet... The est alch content on hydrometer seems to drop as gravity drops and gets closer so with that being said should I add more sugar...? In order to up alch. Yet it is still so sweet? This is maybe 10-12 days in by the way. One batch is around 5 percent other is around 3.5 and yes I have subtracted gravity readings to confirm as well I am not just trusting hydrometer pot alch.. But they are very close I will post my gravity readings when I get home tonight if it helps with any advice... Also have my ballings logged as well not sure if that will help.

the potential alcohol is based on the starting specific.gravity. If you start at a sg-1.092 and ferment dry to about .998 you should have 12% alcohol when complete. what is your starting specific gravity?
