Viognier

I planted these Viognier 17 months ago originally as a break up to the rock wall for summer/spring greenery and fall color. Now I am going to attempt to make some wine next year. I like the look so much I am adding another small row of Viognier on the other side of the rose to create some symmetry. Being I live in the Yakima valley I thought the look would work for my landscaping.

Mike, once those get a few years into production, how many pounds of grapes could you expect (go low end) from those six vines in a normal year?

Looks great. Viognier does good aging on a delicate oak for several years.

Once a vine matures a good standard formula is a gallon of finished wine per vine which breaks down to about 15-18lbs per vine.

Have lots of family in WA. We went through this in 2000 and 2011 here in NM. We are praying for rain and the safety of the firefighters.
