On my way home I went to the local Super Boozemart super center.
My wife needed a few bottles of wine that I neither make or stock. (Pinot Grigio , Merlot )
I needed a bottle of Jamison's.

When grabbing some wine I purchase 4 bottles.
Not based on price or name brand, but by the following criteria:

No screw tops
Bottle size I would reuse (750 I use anything else I have no use for)
Finally whether or not I thought the label would easily peel off after some soaking and scraping!

All my decisions are being based on my wine making.

I think I am officially infected in the head!

I no longer purchase wine that has screw tops myself because I can't re-use. Thought I was the only one!

I would purchase only corked bottles too, except my wife's favorite wines are the Marlborough NZ sauv blancs...all screw tops.

It's rare to find anything but a screw top here in NZ shops... So glad I have a large collection of 'cork' type bottles collected mostly ten years ago.
